Do I need to provide content and images? +
For Starter and Standard packages, yes — we use what you have and source free stock imagery where needed. The Pro package includes copywriting polish and custom imagery sourcing. If you have no content at all, we can quote content creation separately.
What if I don't like the design? +
Each package includes 1-3 design revision rounds. If you still don't like the design after the included rounds, additional rounds are charged at $120/hour. In our experience, most clients are happy within 2 rounds.
Do you host the website too? +
We recommend a third-party host (Hostinger, SiteGround, or your existing host) and hand over full credentials on launch. We can include a $200/month maintenance plan covering hosting, security updates, monitoring and 1 hour of content changes — but this is optional.
Who owns the website after launch? +
You own the final visual design and content. We retain ownership of any underlying templates, code libraries and AI-assisted design assets, which we license to you for unlimited use. You can move the site to any host or developer at any time.
How does the outsourcing service work? +
We set you up with a dedicated team (typically 1-3 people) based in our managed Sri Lankan office, supervised by a Sydney-based account manager and a registered Australian BAS agent for any bookkeeping work. You communicate via Slack/email/WhatsApp. Most clients save 40-60% vs. hiring locally.
Are you actually based in Sydney? +
Yes. Hippo Technology Pty Ltd is a registered Australian company (ABN available on request). Our account management is Sydney-based. Delivery is split between Sydney (project management, design polish) and our supervised Sri Lankan team (data work, design execution).
What's not included in the website packages? +
Custom logo design, professional photography, e-commerce functionality, custom web apps, paid ads setup, ongoing maintenance. Anything outside the package is quoted separately before work begins — no surprise invoices.
How do I pay? +
Electronic funds transfer (EFT) to our Australian business bank account. 50% deposit on signing, 50% on launch. Monthly outsourcing fees are invoiced in advance on the 1st of each month.
